Sonic Speed Simulator invites you to explore various fan-favorite worlds, complete a handful of unique quests, and even race against, or become, some of the most iconic Sonic characters of all time. Added with the Dec. 16, 2023, update, Silver the Hedgehog can be unlocked for a limited time only by those who find and collect all seven of the Chaos Emeralds that have been hidden around the map.
All Chaos Emerald Locations in Sonic Speed Simulator
As mentioned above, there are seven Chaos Emeralds in total that must be found and unlocked before you can unlock Silver. The locations of these emeralds (which come in come in red, green, purple, gold, silver, blue, and cyan variations) and what you must do to unlock them, can be found in the brief guide below. Luckily, you won't have to leave Green Hill Zone to collect them!
Red Chaos Emerald Location
- Located on the upper cliff that's to the right of the Skins booth
- Unlocked by earning 300,000 rail grind points
Green Chaos Emerald Location
- Located right outside of the spawn area, found by following the wraparound path to the left
- Unlocked by destroying 500 badniks
Purple Chaos Emerald Location
- Located below the cliff where the cyan Chaos Emerald is located
- Unlocked by collecting 3,000 Chaos Orbs
Gold Chaos Emerald Location
- Located close to the red Chaos Emerald, found by following the path to its right and crossing the bridge
- Unlocked by earning 20 gold medals in time trials

Silver Chaos Emerald Location
- Likely the first emerald you'll find on your own, located near Big's fishing spot and the Skins booth
- Unlocked by completing 20 races
Blue Chaos Emerald Location
- Located near the old Lost Valley portal location
- Unlocked by collecting 2,000 Rings
Cyan Chaos Emerald Location
- Located on a tall cliff toward the back of the map, can be found on the same path as the green emerald
- Unlocked by achieving 500 hoverboard boosts
