Reddit user Demon5572 jumped into a private match to explore Growhouse only to find something interesting unexpectedly. In a short video showing them swimming far out of bounds and phasing through the terrain, they find themselves beneath the map. After a short period, the water texture ends and a new visage appears.

The strange image rendered is one taken on the edge of a pier, complete with a small lighthouse, and a rocky shore that turns into a long beach. No matter how hard Demon5572 tries, they cannot change the image's perspective. This is due to the nature of the image itself. Known as an HDRi, it is a spherical image designed to improve the lighting of a scene, which is standard practice and may point towards other maps having this type of secret.

Comments from the community range from the hilarious, 'Ah, there's where I left bridge.jpg' (from the user Alexgamertv689) to the very insightful, 'It's called an HDRI. They probably found a good one and popped it down not thinking you would boundary break and see it' (from the user ph4tcat).

Many others comment on the nice find and the interesting lesson in lighting for a video game map. With this discovery, players may start to revisit old maps to find other secrets that have been hidden in their favourite maps.
