One of the first quests we're given for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is to Craft a Hunter's Cloak. However, given that crafting is a brand new game mechanic and the Hunter's Cloak is a brand new item, many people don't know how to do this! Luckily, we've got you covered.
How to Craft a Hunter's Cloak in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Epic Quests
The Hunter's Cloak is easy to craft, but before you can do it, you first need to find the Resources. This can sometimes be a tricky task since you have to hunt animals to obtain Meat, which is one of the resources you need. Animals aren't exactly common, either!
Resources
There are two types of resources you'll need for the Hunter's Cloak. Their types and quantities are listed below.
- 1 x Meat
- 2 x Animal Bones
The plus side? Hunting one animal is enough to get almost everything you need. The downside? Animals seem to pop up randomly and scarcely. You'll need to find an animal that drops meat, and at the moment that limits you to the following list: Chickens, Wolves, and Boars. Animal Bones can also be found by breaking fossilized bones that are sticking out of the ground.
Where to Find Animals
Since they tend to pop up randomly, it's not exactly easy to say where to find the animals. However, you are much more likely to spot Chickens near farms, Wolves near any wooded area, and Boars in grassy areas.

Crafting the Hunter's Cloak
Once you have found the resources you need, crafting the Hunter's Cloak is just a few clicks away. When you open your Inventory, you'll notice a new layout. Near the top right of the Inventory Menu is a tab that says Crafting (highlighted red in the image above). Select the Crafting tab.
Once you're there, select the Meat item that's in your inventory (highlighted yellow in the image above). As long as you have all the resources necessary, it will give you the option to craft the Hunter's Cloak! If you don't have all the resources you need, it will show a small red X next to the Hunter's Cloak.
Click Craft. Your character will do a short crafting animation and you'll have a shiny, new Hunter's Cloak in your inventory!
