Changing your display name in the recently-released Knockout City is more complicated than it should be, but we're here to make sure that your embarrassing old nickname gets replaced by a new moniker so you can make the most of your gameplay. While it seems apparent that name changes should be available in Origin, this actually isn't a viable option. Neither, apparently, is navigating through the profile settings of the EA official website. So what now?
To change your name in Knockout City, you'll need to open the new EA Desktop launcher (again: not Origin, for some reason). Click on your name in the top right corner of this application and go to Profile, then click Edit Profile. Here, you can update your nickname to whatever name you want displayed in Knockout City. Don't forget to press Done to save your changes.
Until EA streamlines its settings systems, the EA Desktop launcher seems to be the only available method of updating your display name in video games. If this process changes, we'll be sure to let you know.
