Amanda the Adventurer is a slightly twisted escape room with a rich story and some interesting and original mechanics. You’re in an attic watching old videos of a strange children’s TV show, but there is more going on than meets the eye. The more tapes you watch, the more the story reveals itself. Though the game can feel very short on your first playthrough, I can assure you there’s a lot more to do. If you want to get the full Amanda the Adventurer experience, read on for all the codes, secrets, achievements, and bonus tapes, and how to get them.
How to get all secret tapes and codes in Amanda the Adventurer
There are five secret tapes in Amanda the Adventurer and you’ll have to collect all five if you want to fully complete the game and see the true ending, which gives the The End? Achievement. There is also one thing you can do that does nothing but give you an achievement. For those completionists out there, we’ve included it here too.
Note that the colors of the tapes may be different than those below if you collect them in a different order, but the achievements are connected directly with the actions you perform. I received them in a different color order but did the same actions to get them. Don’t forget to watch each of the tapes for some interesting background lore, which will help explain the various game endings. I also suggest you play through the game to at least one ending (preferably at least two) before you start trying for all of the colored tapes below.
How to get the Orange Tape (Not That Pie achievement)
Get to the end of the In the Kitchen tape on any playthrough. Set the oven to 425 degrees and 40 minutes as usual but place a peach in the dish instead of an apple. You’ll find the peach behind the boxes where the oven sits when it's not on the central table (see image above). The oven will rattle as usual, then throw the peach and the pan back out at you – along with the Orange Tape and the Not That Pie achievement.
How to get the Red Tape (The Sad Truth achievement)
Play the Oh No! Accidents! tape (which you get from the piano after watching the In The Neighbourhood tape) until Amanda asks who can help Wooly. Rather than typing doctor, type nobody. This will give you The Sad Truth achievement. Complete the video as usual, and afterward, you’ll find the Red Tape on the floor next to the table.
How to get the Blue Tape (Peekaboo achievement)
Start by picking up the plant pot behind the box near the trapdoor (see image above) and place it in the puddle of water by the mushrooms. Once it has grown up to have small yellow flowers, pick it up and give it to the doll on the sofa. She puts them in her hair and then asks you to turn around. Do so, because when you turn back she’ll have a Blue Tape on her lap, and you’ll get the Peekaboo achievement.
How to get the Green Tape (Daddy Issues achievement)
Take the What is Family? tape from the red toolbox (password GUTS) and watch it up to the point where you visit the chickens (you can ignore the storm warnings if you’ve already played through once). When asked what the daddy chicken is called, answer Sam. This gives you the Daddy Issues achievement. Once the tape ends, you’ll find the Green Tape.

How to get the Purple Tape (Beethoven achievement)
To complete this one, you’ll need the In Your Neighborhood tape, but it needs to be the second one (the one you get after making a meat pie). As you’re watching the tape, pause it when they’re in the card shop and you can see a row of musical notes on the yellow sign behind the cards. Go over to the mini piano and play the notes FACADE. The top will open, giving you both the Purple Tape and the Beethoven achievement.
Secret extra achievement: Splish Splash
Open the wardrobe (left of the table on the way towards the TV VCR, code 2862) and pick up the bucket. Go to the right of the VCR and place the bucket under the drip next to the mushrooms. Next, pick up the plant pop lying in the puddle there. Drop it into the bucket once the bucket has water in it, and you’ll see a fish jump. This gives you the Splish Splash achievement.
