If you've been eagerly awaiting the new Animal Crossing 1.5 update then your wait is now over! The big Halloween update that brings pumpkins, costumes, and additional fall goodies is finally here. You can download the update now by logging into your Nintendo Switch, so make sure to get it quick so you can join in on the phone.
The new 1.5 patch brings a whole lot of fun new stuff to the game! You can now grow pumpkins, by purchasing them and planting them around your home. These can be used as ingredients in some pumpkin-based DIY recipes. There's a bunch of fun things for Halloween as well. You will be able to purchase some spooky costumes from the Able Sisters shop, and get yourself some body paint or colored eye contacts by using your Nook Miles. There are also Halloween DIY projects that your neighbors will have available!
You can also celebrate October 31st in Animal Crossing! After 5pm, you neighbors will be gathering in the plaza, that will feature a bunch of fun Halloween decorations. You will receive a new guess named, Jack, who is the "czar of Halloween." If you give Jack some of your candy, you will earn yourself some festive new rewards.
This update also brings the ability to revisit dreams, so you can head back to islands that you enjoyed in the past.
The NookLink Service that is available via the Switch Online app is receiving an update in early October. You will be able to perform reactions in the game with your smart device. You can use these reactions to let your visitors know how you feel about the tricks and treats!
Check out some of the great new Halloween items in the video below, as well as the pumpkin items that you'll be able to create!
