How to Catch a Blue Weevil Beetle

The Dung Beetle will only spawn in the summer and only in specific locations. Here's a look at when you can find them in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and at what time of day.

  • Northern Hemisphere: July - August
  • Southern Hemisphere: January - February
  • Active Hours: All day
  • Price: 800 Bells

If you''re in the right months, then you're going to need to have access to some palm trees. This can be done in a couple of different ways! You can take a flight on the Dodo Airlines via a Nook Miles Ticket. That's where you'll find yourself some palm trees that you can either take fruit from or eat one of the fruit and take the whole tree with you via a shovel. You might find the bug there on one of those palms, if not bring your fruit or tree back to your island. Plant these on your beach, and then check back on them periodically. The Blue Weevil Beetle spawns throughout the day, so you just need to kind of reset the spawns. Once you find one, just creep up on it and drop the net on them to collect!
