Respawn has dropped a 2.31 update for its popular battle royale title Apex Legends. Although it's not a major patch, it's introduced a visual change and fixed a few issues. So without any further ado, here's a detailed rundown of the Apex Legends 2.31 update patch notes.
What's New in Apex Legends 2.31 Update
You can learn about all the changes in today’s Apex Legends update by checking out the official patch notes below.
- Ranked LP progress bar is visible in the match summary again
- Players who join a Mixtape match in progress no longer have abilities disabled
- The timer for Revenant's Forged Shadows Ultimate no longer disappears
The return of the Ranked LP progress bar in the match summary is a good change as it allows you to see your progress and how much LP you've gained or lost after each match; it also helps you to set your goals and plan your strategies for climbing the ranked ladder.

Meanwhile the Mixtape match abilities adjustment is a fair change because it prevents players from being at a disadvantage when they join a match that has already started. Furthermore, it makes the Mixtape mode more fun and dynamic, as new players can use their abilities right away.
According to the Apex Legends official Trello board, the developers are investigating the root cause of infamous issues like game stuttering at 165+ FPS mode, Legends rotating when exiting a Trident, FS_CheckAsyncRequest error, and more—these issues will probably be fixed in the next Apex Legends update.
