Apex Legends Armed and Dangerous – How to play

Shotguns and Snipers only!

In the Armed and Dangerous game mode, players only get to use Shotguns and Sniper Rifles, and the overall loot is much harder to come by. Evo Shields and healing items are available in this game mode, but you won't find them as often. Naturally, players have to rely entirely on combat to level up their Evo Shield, and this can be tricky if you struggle at close and long-range combat. While veterans thrive in this game mode, it can be relatively challenging for beginners and new players. Here are some quick tips to remember while playing Armed and Dangerous in Apex Legends.

How to survive in Apex Legends Armed and Dangerous

The Armed and Dangerous game mode features three maps: Olympus, Storm Point, and World's Edge. It follows the traditional battle royale mechanics where the last team standing wins the game. Furthermore, the Crafting Rotations in this mode feature Snipers and Shotguns, and it's best to use the Replicator to craft Shield Batteries, as they are hard to come by.

Selecting a proper landing spot in this game mode becomes crucial, as you can deal a lot of damage right after getting down from the airship. If you want to rack up eliminations and have a high-damage output match, we recommend landing at any hot drop spots on all the maps. You can land at the Fragment POI in World's Edge, Energy Depot in Olympus, and Command Center in Storm Point to engage in combat immediately. Similarly, if you are looking to go passive for the early circle closings, then we recommend landing at POIs far away from the flight path.

As for character selection, players are advised to choose their best Legends in this game mode. Additionally, you can select characters like Mad Maggie, as the Legend gets a slight speed boost while moving with Shotguns equipped. Keep an eye on the Crafting Rotations, as they will most likely change during the weekends.

Isolating fights in this game mode can be difficult, as every team will have a Sniper to engage in long-range combat. This fan-favorite game mode has a special place for Apex Legends fans, and we recommend teaming up with friends to have a fun experience.
