Apex Legends’ Arenas map rotation will no longer include Points of Interest from Battle Royale maps

All original maps, all the time.

Since the introduction of the Arenas' Team Deathmatch game mode in Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy, the map rotation has included a variety of maps. Some of these were original for the game mode, while others were sectioned-off Points of Interest (POIs) from existing Battle Royale maps.

Over the course of Seasons 9 and 10, two additional original maps were added to the Arenas game type: Overflow and Encore. Both of these maps were added during a three-week event at the end of their respective season.

Due to the arrival of these two new maps, going into Season 11: Escape, there will be four original Arenas maps in rotation. Because of this, the developers no longer feel it is necessary to include POIs from existing Battle Royale maps in the Arenas game mode. The reason this was originally done was to prevent the mode from feeling stale when there were only two original maps. But now with four, Arenas can stand on its own with help from the Battle Royale POIs.

It should be noted that this doesn't necessarily mean we won't still see special POI appearances, like the way we got Skull Town for the Genesis event, but they will not be in base rotation.
