Battlefield 2042 Halloween Event Details

Season 6's Dark Creations already brought a spooky feel to Battlefield 2042 with the new Redacted map, and just in time for Halloween. However, a special LTM will bring the horror to a whole new level.

There have already been leaks and speculation going around for this limited-time Halloween mode, Dark Protocol. The LTM is rumored to have cyborg-like AIs, unlockable cosmetics, and more.

Battlefield 2042 Dark Protocol mode leaks and details

Out of all the Battlefield 2042 maps, Redacted is one of the most eerie, featuring lost prosthetic limbs and strange experiment evidence lying around. Well, those were just a glimpse of the features we can expect in this new LTM, named Dark Protocol. Although it isn't an officially confirmed mode yet, several leaks have gone around the Battlefield Discord, depicting what players can expect.

Dark Protocol is rumored to be released on October 26, 2023 for all platforms as a Killswitch mode of 12v12. In this mode, teams will attempt to gather AI nodes and use them to summon AI soldiers called Geists. These soldiers can be summoned at claimed and controlled Forges around the map and will fight on your side. The supported maps are rumored to be Redacted, Manifest, Spearhead, and Hourglass.

Along with this new game mode, there will be new rewards players can earn, such as the gold-and-black armor set and weapon skins shown in the pictures above. It's only fitting that the rewards will be in a darker color scheme for the season, but we have yet to hear what else could be included.

Although there hasn't been an official announcement yet, with the rumored date for release quickly approaching, we can assume something will be revealed soon. Keep an eye out for more details as they come, and get ready to dive into this intense new mode soon.
