How to add attachments in Battlefield 2042

How to use the new Battlefield Plus System!

Battlefield 2042 features a new system for adding attachments. Instead of creating a locked-in loadout before spawning, Battlefield 2042 allows players to switch attachments during the game using the "Battlefield Plus System."

How to Access the Battlefield Plus System

  • PC — Hold T (Default Keybind)
  • PlayStation — Hold L1
  • Xbox — Hold LB

While holding down the button, the Battlefield Plus system will appear. Players can then change the weapon's optics, barrel, grip, and ammo while already deployed on the map.

How to Change Attachments

To change attachments on PC, simply click on the attachment in the Battlefield Plus menu to equip it. For Xbox and PC, the controls are a little bit more complicated.

  • Change Optics — Triangle (PlayStation), Y (Xbox)
  • Change Barrel — Square (PlayStation), X (Xbox)
  • Change Grip — X (PlayStation), A (Xbox)
  • Change Ammo — Circle (PlayStation), B (Xbox)

The Battlefield Plus UI is easy to navigate, so console players just have to remember that face buttons are used to cycle through each attachment in the category. The pre-spawn menu allows players to select which weapon to spawn with but does not allow players to select the attachments before deploying. However, once the attachments are changed, players will spawn with the same attachments if they die.
