How to Become an Astronaut at NASA - BitLife Guide

To become an astronaut at NASA, you must follow the given career path.

  • Born in the USA or Migrating to the USA: First and foremost, to join NASA, you must be living inside the USA. Either create a character out of the USA while making your avatar or move to the USA from your country of birth using the Emigrate option under the Activities tab.
  • Get a STEM degree: For this, study well from a young age by using the Study Harder option available under the Activities tab of your school. Try to maintain your Smarts stat around 90 and graduate high school. Now, apply for a major in any of the STEM fields like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science. During most of my runs, I majored in Physics and would suggest doing the same. After joining a course, Use the Study Harder option again and finish college with a Smart stat above 90.
  • Acquire a Pilot License: Along with getting a degree, you must also own a Pilot's License. Before starting the training, save money by working temporarily in any career field related to your degree for two years. I worked as an App Tester before moving to get my license. Use this money and join a Flight School from the License section under the Activities tab. Finish 50 hours of Flight Training and then proceed to apply for the Pilot License test. Crack the interview by answering a single MCQ question on flying and aerospace. If you can answer the question, you will get the license. Otherwise, age up and reapply for the interview.

  • Joining the US Space Academy: Once you have a STEM degree and a Pilot's License, it's time to join the US Space Academy. Visit the Special Careers section on your mobile and click the Astronaut option. Now, select US Space Academy and join the Academy. Remember, you must pay a fee of around $35K to join the course. Use the money saved after college to pay for the training.

  • Completing the US Space Academy: To complete the US Space Academy successfully, you must excel in all three training procedures: Fitness TrainingFlight Training, and Technical Training.

The Fitness Training is pretty easy to finish: just click on any one of the Workout options and train yourself continuously until the meter turns completely green. Flight Training involves playing a small mini-game where you must control a small flight and move precisely, avoiding all the obstacles. It is tricky initially, but you will get a grasp of the game as you keep playing. Technical Training is the hardest of all the tests as it involves answering several science and space-related questions continuously until your rating reaches green entirely. Due to this, we have made a separate guide containing all the questions and their answers asked in the Technical Training procedure. Once all the ratings of your Training courses are green, like the below image, you can age up to finish your preparation.
