Abandoned Operator Mission Guide DMZ – Shopkeeper Location

Find the Koschei Complex Shopkeeper here!

Call of Duty: Warzone DMZ's new Koschei Complex map is full of secrets. The Tier 4 Redacted faction missions try to make players familiar with what this facility has to offer. Abandoned Operator is one such mission that tasks players to find the Shopkeeper and trade some items at the shop.

  • Locate the Shopkeeper and read his list of items.
  • Trade the Shopkeeper two items.
  • Purchase 1 item from Shopkeeper's Secure Buy Station.

Where to find the Shopkeeper in DMZ

To get to the Shopkeeper, you need to enter Koschei Complex via any of the four entrances on Al Mazrah. Let's say you enter via the Taraq Village Bridge and spawn in the Barracks sector. Make your way to the Chemical Plant bunker door and don't forget to get Night Vision Goggles for best visibility.

After entering Chemical Plant, look for the Factory Admin Key inside the vents in the central area of the dark sector. Once you have the key, head in the west direction where you'll find bunker doors with A1 and A2 marking on top (see second image). Approach the door and place the key on the panel to unlock the door. This'll lead you to the Factory Admin section where the shop is.

On your way in, you'll have to take out a sentry turret and walk through a long corridor until you reach a big room with control desks all around. Look for the shop indicator as shown in the third image and enter the room next to it. Then enter the Shopkeeper's room indicated by the smiley face.

To complete the first task in the Abandoned Operator mission, you simply need to open any of the notes hung on the wall inside the room. For the second task, you need to sell any two valuables at the Standard Buy Station, which should be accessible by default. You'll notice another, orange-colored shop in the room that you can't yet open.

How to unlock the Shopkeeper's Secure Buy Station

The Shopkeeper's Secure Buy Station can only be unlocked if you deposit the items mentioned in the Shopkeeper's note that you opened to complete the first task. The list of items required to access the Secure Buy Station is random and may not be the one that I had.

As you can see in the image, I was asked to deliver an Employee Handbook and Alpha Board. Surprisingly, I found the Employee Handbook on a desk in the room directly above the shop. My teammate had an Alpha Board that he got earlier while looting crates. After depositing the required items in the Dead Drop, the Secure Buy Station will be activated. For the final task, you need to purchase just one item from this shop, which can even be an armor plate.

Various item lists to unlock the Shopkeeper's Secure Buy Station

Below I'm listing some of the item combinations that I've seen in the Shopkeeper's list of items. Your best bet is to carry all of these items in your backpack if you find them while looting your way to Factory Admin. If lucky, you may get a list that requires the items you've collected. Ask your teammates to carry some items as well if you're running low on storage slots.

  • Items List 1: Employee Handbook and Alpha Board.
  • Items List 2: Formaldehyde, Acetic Acid, and Server Tape Black.
  • Items List 2: Scientist's Note, Server Tape Orange, and Chlorine.
  • Items List 2: Sulfuric Acid and Scientist's Notebook.
