Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has brought many changes and developments to the Gunsmith and weapon customization options, allowing players to tweak their gunplay using various attachments, camos, and receivers. While you can unlock attachments for any weapon through the diligent grind, some weapons come pre-installed with high-level attachments and feature distinctive styling. These weapons are classified as Blueprints. This guide will tell you how to equip Blueprints in Modern Warfare 2.
How to use Blueprints in Modern Warfare 2
The process is fairly simple if you have a Blueprint of a weapon in Modern Warfare 2 and are looking to equip it. Go to the Weapons tab from the home screen and select Multiplayer Loadout. Then, select your desired loadout and click on Edit to make changes to your Custom Loadout. Once you're there, click Swap to change your weapon. Now, select the weapon class for the Blueprint you acquired. If you own a Blueprint for a weapon, it should appear like a stack of files when viewing the weapons. Simply select the weapon and then select the Blueprint you wish to use.
Blueprints in Modern Warfare 2 are unique versions of default weapons, often pre-installed with high-level attachments. This means you can utilize the attachments in a Blueprint weapon on other weapons categorized in the same weapon Platform. For example, the Union Guard M4 Blueprint attachments can be used on any weapon in the M4 Platform without needing to rank up the default weapon to unlock the attachments.
How to get Blueprints in Modern Warfare 2
Blueprints in Modern Warfare 2 can be obtained by completing the Campaign in its entirety or by progressing the Battle Pass, completing special challenges, and from in-game Store Bundles.
