I've been where you are many times—struggling to decide which choice is better in a given game. When launching Chivalry 2 for the first time, players must pick a faction: Agatha or Mason. Choosing either faction seems like a tricky proposition, similar to classes, as it is unclear which is better in. That's why we've created this guide to help run you through the decision of which is better, Agatha or Mason, in Chivalry 2.

Is Agatha or Mason better in Chivlary 2? – Making the right choice

If you were wondering if Agatha or Mason is better in Chivalry 2, it truly does not matter either way, other than appearance. In short, picking a faction in Chivalry 2 does not affect gameplay. Factions are a simple gameplay mechanic similar to Team Fortress 2, where players join two opposing sides.

On the other hand, picking a faction does decide how your character appears in-game. Both Agatha and Mason have unique appearances for all different classes. Agatha features a stoic appearance that hints of duty and honor, while Mason adopts a more brutal and cruel nature. Both factions even feature cosmetics that you can use to customize your soldiers.
