There are several ways you can play against AI in CoH3. Single-player content in Company of Heroes 3 consists of several campaigns and skirmish modes. There are two campaigns in CoH3: North African Operation Axis Campaign and Italian Dynamic Allies Campaign.

North African Operation Axis Campaign in Company of Heroes 3

North African campaign has the look and feel of a typical real-time strategy single-player game mode. You'll play as German Afrikakorps in a series of missions, including a famous El-Alamein battle. Just like in WW2, these battles were swift and efficient, thanks to the ingenuity of army leaders Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery and Erwin "Desert Fox" Rommel.

Italian Dynamic Allies Campaign in Company of Heroes 3

In contrast to the classic North African campaign, you'll have a different experience playing as Allies in the Italian peninsula in CoH3. This is more of a sandbox-style campaign where you switch between Total War-like maps and missions. What you do on a global map affects your troops and the enemy. You can choose where to attack and which missions to take. You can even simulate battles if you want to focus on map activities.

Single Player Skirmishes in Company of Heroes 3

Skirmishes are the best way to learn about factions in Company of Heroes 3. This is also a first step before you venture into multiplayer. Here you can play against AI and set difficulty levels. Playing in Hard mode will prepare you the best for the challenges awaiting you against experienced players.
