Apart from being a perfectionist, the uptight Espresso Cookie is skilled in magic involving his namesake—evident by his position as the professor of the Advanced Course in the Theorems of Coffee Magic in the Parfaedia Institute. In battle, he's an Epic Magic Cookie who can dish out major DPS for your team in nearly any game mode.

Espresso Cookie Skill and Gameplay

Grinding: Precise and even grinding is key for magically delicious coffee! A giant whirlwind inflicts serial area damage to enemies and pulls them to its center. The final burst of DMG interrupts skills.

Skill specs:

• Cooldown: 15 seconds
• 80.0 percent DMG over 7 hits (+0.9-1 percent DMG per level)
• 100.0 percent DMG with last hit (+1.23-1.25 percent DMG per level)

Espresso Cookie's Skill is very similar to Latte Cookie's, though with slightly less utility. He summons a coffee-inspired vortex that deals AoE DMG spanning eight total hits. The final hit deals burst DMG that interrupts enemies' Skills, which can be useful for mitigating healers like Cotton Cookie and one-shot wonders like Sea Fairy Cookie—as long as it's timed correctly.

Best Espresso Cookie Build

As a DPS through-and-through, Espresso Cookie is best paired with a full set of Searing Raspberry Toppings. While his cooldown is quite high, it isn't necessarily high enough to require Swift Chocolates. Instead, opt to roll for cooldown reduction bonus effects and wear a Squishy Jelly Watch Treasure to help Espresso shorten the time between Skill casts.

Apart from the aforementioned Treasure, Espresso is also great with any DPS-enhancing item, such as the Seamstress's Pin Cushion and Grim-looking Scythe.
