How Fishing works in Core Keeper

The Fishing in Core Keeper is one that most survival game players or fans of Stardew Valley should be familiar with. In short, you will grab a Fishing Rod and head to the nearest water source

Cast the Fishing Rod in the water, and you will need to play a short mini-game. The mini-game consists of you trying to reel a Fish in without breaking the line.

You can also get different types of fish depending on the biome you are in, and you can turn all of the fish you catch into unique cooking recipes.

How to Fish in Core Keeper

To Fish in Core Keeper, grab your Fishing Rod and find a water source. The water source does not have to be the size of a small lake. Any water source will work, but with larger pools of water, there's a chance for a special Fishing spot to appear. You can tell when there is a special Fishing spot by looking for a cluster of fish as shown below.

That said, find any water source, and with the Fishing Rod equipped, click the right mouse button. Doing so will cast the Fishing Rod's line into the water. At this point, all you need to do is wait until the Fishing Rod starts pulsating.

When the Fishing Rod starts pulsating, click the right mouse button to start the Fishing mini-game. In this mini-game, the goal is to get the fish to the left side without breaking the line.

The trick for beating the mini-game is to tap the right mouse button slightly until you get the fish to the left side. It's going to take a few tries before you master it, and sometimes it's going to be next to impossible to get certain fish starting out.

But fret not, as the more you fish, you will level your Fishing skill up. Leveling your Fishing Skill will improve your ability to fish and unlock skills to help you.
