As Scarlet Ore is a late game item, you’ll have to first defeat the three primary World Bosses of Core Keeper. These are Glurch, Ghorm and The Hive Mother. Once you’ve killed all three of these bosses, return to the Core. Each boss will have dropped a gem, which you’ll need to put into the corresponding shrine, which will have the boss's name on it.

This activates the Central Core, which will then unlock the outermous biome: the Azeos’ Wilderness. To enter the Azeo’s Wilderness, head to the outermost wall you’ve found and press E. You’ll now have access to the biome.

The Azeo’s Wilderness contains walls filled with Scarlet Ore, and enemies that drop the ore well. Hidden bosses in this area will also drop the ore.

Scarlet Ore is essential for late game Core Keeper as it enables the use of Automation, and the construction of the Automation Table. Once you’ve got Scarlet Ore, the true end game of Core Keeper becomes available.
