How to Customize Your Character in Core

Make sure you look your best.

Core is a game about expressing one's creative abilities and offers multiple ways to customize your experience. One such way is the ability to customize your character.

First, you must open the main menu and go to the character tab. You can have a total of 12 characters, each of which can be customized. Hovering over one of the characters will reveal an edit button that will let you change its appearance and colors. There is a number of presets that you can equip for each of these slots.

You customize the presets in a couple of ways. Each character can have their head, top, bottom, and back gear swapped out for another piece. Some pieces will let you change the color while others will not. A paint tray icon will appear next to the character if you can alter the color. You can either choose from preset colors or select a custom one from the color picker.

In the character editor, there is also a randomize button that selects pieces and colors at random. You can also revert to the original preset to start over. When selecting pieces you can rotate the model to see the equipment from all angles. When you are finished, hit the save button and you can choose which slot to save the character to. As you level up and play games, you can unlock new customizations.
