How to farm item components in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0

Farm those items!

Farming item components is a pain in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, as you only get a small amount from dismantling items. Luckily, after researching and testing, I found a few ways to farm item components fast in Cyberpunk 2077.

The main way to farm item components in Cyberpunk 2.0 is to farm enemies and dismantle their weapons for item components up to Tier 5. Completing GIGs and NCPD scanner jobs is usually the best way for farming weapons to dismantle into item components. In short, you can find a plethora of enemies in both quest and side activities. Enemies also usually have a few item components on their bodies you can loot for extra components.

Grab the Lucky Day perk to boost the number of item components you can loot off enemies and containers. You can find the Lucky Day perk via the Technical perk tree. You need to level your Technical perk tree to level 9 to get the Lucky Day perk. After leveling up Technical to level 9, you can grab the perk as shown below.

Getting the Lucky Day pek requires one perk point. If you don't have the perk, refund one from another perk or tree. You can also dismantle clothing items to earn one item component of any tier. For example, dismantling Tier 5 clothes grants you one Tier 5 item component. Don't worry about losing the clothing items, as you can find them again via your wardrobe and make more outfits after dismantling them. You can also dismantle unwanted weapon mods via the backpack to get extra item components. But if you want to farm item components fast, I recommend trying one of the methods below.

How to farm Tier 5 item components fast in Cyberpunk 2.0

One of the best ways to farm a lot of Tier 5 Item components is to farm enemies and loot containers at the Reconciliation Park location in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0. You can find Reconciliation Park south of City Center Corpo Plaza at the site shown below:

Multiple enemies are spread across the park that spawn at night. You can repeatedly farm these enemies as they respawn after waiting a few hours via the skip time option. Players can also find loot containers throughout the park that can contain a few legendary items, as shown below:

We recommend farming the enemies at the park when you are at least level 30-40. I found legendary items and tier 4+ item components tend to spawn more at those levels. You can dismantle legendary items such as clothes, attachments, and weapons into tier 5 item components. You can also craft tier 5 item components from tier 4 via the Crafting Menu. To craft tier 5 item components, you need at least five tier 4 item components per one tier 5 component. You can also farm tier 5 item components by farming lower-tier components and crafting higher tiers.

How to get infinite money in Cyberpunk 2.0

Another great method for farming Item components and money in Cyberpunk 2077 is to do the Infinite Money or junk item glitch. You need a few junk items to do the Infinite Money Glitch; I recommend up to 15 medical gauze or something similar. If you don't have any junk items, you can find some by heading to a junk vendor. You can find junk vendors by locating them on the map via the junk vendor icon shown below:

Find the nearest Drop Point location after you grab a few junk items. You can find Drop Points by searching for their box icons on the map below.

At a Drop Point, open the Sell Menu and select the Junk Items Tab shown below.

At this menu, hover your cursor over whatever junk item's icon you have the most of while holding down the Sell Junk button at the lower right of your screen. While holding down the Sell Junk button, click the junk item your cursor is hovering over and sell all but one, as shown below:

If done correctly, you should get another tab to appear right after selling your items, asking if you want to sell all junk items. Select yes, and your junk items will duplicate, as shown below. You can repeat these steps as many times as you want for money and item components if you dismantle the junk items.

To dismantle items in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, you must open your inventory and hold down the dismantle button on a thing you want to dismantle. You can also dismantle items easily by visiting your backpack shown below:

We also recommend using the filters to better sort and switch between items you want to dismantle in Cyberpunk 2077.

How to farm Slaugt-O-Matic Vending machines for Item Components in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0

If you don't want to try the Infinite Money Glitch, you can also farm Slaught-O-Matic vending machines for item components instead. To farm Slaught-O-Matic vending machines, head to a location with at least one or two. We recommend at least two machines like those shown below south of Megabuilding H10: Atrium.

At the vending machines, you want to buy multiple Slaught-O-Matic guns from the machines by clicking the machine multiple times. Be careful not to click too fast, as the machines can bug out and stop spawning weapons.

We recommend only buying 15 guns one after another to avoid bugging the machines out. Make a quick save before buying any Slaught-O-Matic guns so you can reload your game if the machines stop working. You can later take each gun bought for $100 and dismantle them inside your inventory for five crafting parts each.

Overall, the Slaught-O-Matic gun method is a decent way to use up any extra Eddies you have far into the game. However, if you are tight on money, we recommend using a different option for farming item components.
