Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 is the biggest update for the game after its release. The patch introduces significant changes to the combat, AI behavior, perk system, weapons, and much more. There isn't much weapon customization in the game. However, the recent update made some big changes to it.
Can you remove weapon mods in Cyberpunk 2077?
If there are empty mods slots available for a weapon, you can definitely add to them from the available list of items in your inventory. However, you can no longer remove weapon mods in Cyberpunk 2077. This means that once a mod has been equipped on a weapon or is already there, it can't be removed or replaced with other mods. When you try to remove or change a mod, the game displays the Slot Already Filled notification, as you can see above.
How to remove or change weapon attachments in Cyberpunk 2077
Unlike mods, you can easily change or remove attachments on your weapons in Cyberpunk 2077. There are two types of attachments in the game: Scope and Muzzle. Your weapon may have either, both, or none of these attachment slots. Hover over an equipped weapon attachment and press Unequip to remove it. Alternatively, you can replace it directly by clicking on the desired attachment.
