Dave the Diver launched back for PC and Mac in June 2023, but there have always been plans for it to come to the Nintendo Switch. During the September 2023 Nintendo Direct, Switch fans received some much-needed updates about when the hit fishing game will come to their platform.
Dave the Diver Nintendo Switch release date
Dave the Diver is coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 26, 2023. For players still on the fence about it, a demo was released following the Nintendo Direct, allowing anyone to try the game out before buying.

If you're into this type of game, it seems like you won't be let down, as it's holding a score of 90 on Metacritic. It should have no issues running on the Nintendo Switch hardware, and it's looking like it's going to be a perfect fit for the console.
What is Dave the Diver?
Dave the Diver is a unique blend of a few different genres. At its core, the game revolves around exploration and fishing by day so you can run your sushi restaurant at night. It sounds eclectic, but the idea works quite well.
The game costs $20 USD on Steam, so it's fair to assume it'll be around the same price on the Switch. With hours upon hours of content ahead, it's well worth the price of admission. If you've ever wished the fishing minigames in other titles could be expanded upon, then Dave the Diver will certainly scratch that itch.
Dave the Diver Nintendo Switch Pre-order Bonuses
Players who want to pre-order the Nintendo Switch version of Dave the Diver will be rewarded with two exclusive in-game items: a boat skin and lamp decor for Bancho Sushi (the restaurant in the game). For the boat, players can expect an 8-bit design that fits in with the rest of the world. The lamp doesn't have a description for the design, though the developers themselves described it as retro and cute.
