Best Builds for the Unknown in DBD

The Unknown is one of the most interesting Killers to play with and against due to his kit that includes teleportation, throwables as well as hallucinations. However, there are hundreds of Killer perks in rotation, and it can become difficult to choose which ones will work the best with him. Check out the best builds for the Unknown in DBD.

Non-teachable the Unknown Build

If you don't want to purchase any new DLCs other than the Unknown, then you should look at the best non-teachable perks for this Killer.

  • Unforseen
  • Bitter Murmur
  • Hex: Noed
  • Undone

Unforseen is one of the best perks that is introduced to DBD with the All Things Wicked DLC. When you break a generator, you will transfer your terror radius to it and get the Undetectable status. If you already have Hallucinations, you can teleport to one and leave a decoy, causing absolute confusion to Survivors.

Undone will work with Unforseen, regressing the damaged generator with the Tokens you collect when Survivors miss skill checks during repair or heal actions. This perk is a bit risky, since you might get very skillful Survivors that can hit every skill check.

Bitter Murmur is the best non-teachable information perk, revealing Survivor's auras each time a generator is completed. Hex: No One Escapes Death is a must-have if you want to ensure that no Survivor escapes the match. If you play your cards right, then you might not even need it, but NOED a good fail safe and you don't even have to buy a DLC to get it.

Playing with Gens the Unknown Build

The Unknown has a varied kit that I definitely appreciate even as a Survivor main. Here are some of the best perks which will support his playstyle and let you track down all Survivors easily.

  • Friends Til' the End
  • Unforseen
  • Discordance
  • Nowhere to Hide

As mentioned above, Unforseen is one of the best perks you can have equipped on this Killer (or any Killer for that matter). Use its powers to strike terror into Survivors trying to fix gens as you teleport across the map unnoticed. Unforseen also works as a control perk, making sure that the Survivors will avoid the affected generator if they don't know where you are.

Discordance will work with Unforseen to enforce crowd control. If the Survivors don't know you have this perk, then you will get all of their auras revealed to you when they work together on a gen. If they do know, they will probably separate and do different gens, meaning that the progression will be slower and you can pick them off one by one.

Nowhere to Hide is in synergy with the previous two perks, revealing Auras of Survivors that are in your range when you damage a gen. Friends Til' the End will grant you additional information on the whereabouts of Survivors. If you hit anyone except the Obsession, their location will be revealed to you and they will be exposed. If you hook the Obsession, a random Survivor will scream and become the new Obsession.
