Behaviour Interactive has added the crossplay feature to Dead by Daylight after repeated demand from its community. Players from the Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation can use the feature and play with friends from other platforms. To enable crossplay, you need to turn on the crossplay checkbox from the settings menu and add your buddy to your friend's list.
Turning on Crossplay in Dead by Daylight
To use crossplay in Dead by Daylight for any platforms, follow the given steps below.
- Launch the game from your respective client platform and click on the options button present in the button center of the screen.
- Â In the options/settings menu, scroll down to the bottom till you find the Online section.Â
- Now, check if the CrossPlay option is turned on or off. Turn on the check box to enable crossplay.
Adding Friends from other Platform
Although crossplay may contribute to lesser matchmaking time, the primary intention is to play with your friends from other devices.
- Open any form of game mode like Play as Survivor and click on the friend's tab.
- In the tab, click on the add a friend icon to open the text box. Type your friend's name along with the proper tag ID. Format:xyz#123
- Tell your friend to accept your request and start crossplaying!
Remember, you will not be able to crossplay with friends from the mobile platform as the mobile version is a separate standalone game. But, mobile users can crossplay between their iOS and Android counterparts.
