Can you get Touch of Malice in Destiny 2?

Crude and vicious.

The Touch of Malice is an Exotic scout rifle available to players in Destiny. The quest to acquire it is long and confusing with many steps being broken up. However, once acquired, the Touch of Malice was a formidable weapon in the hands of any Guardian. But did this weapon of legend ever make its way to Destiny 2?

What is Touch of Malice in Destiny?

Sadly, Touch of Malice remains constrained to Destiny and has not yet made its way to Destiny 2. There are many rumors surrounding Season 18 and the potential return of the King's Fall Raid. Should it come back, it is possible that Touch of Malice would return alongside it.

Touch of Malice is one of the Weapons of Sorrow. These also include Thorn, Necrochasm, and Osteo Striga. There are others that bear the hallmarks of a Weapon of Sorrow but are not confirmed as being one. These include Bad Juju, Whisper of the Worm, and Malfeasance. Through its construction, the Taken King Oryx was able to maintain his immortality, much in the same fashion the Hive Worm God, Xol, Will of the Thousands did with the construction of Whisper of the Worm.

This scout rifle gets its name from the Intrinsic Perk it bears. The last round it fires instantly regenerates and deals double damage at the cost of the Guardian's life. If used without any regeneration, this weapon could potentially kill its bearer. However, Guardians could offset this with the Touch of Mercy perk where three rapid kills would start health regeneration. When used properly, this meant Touch of Malice was devastating in PvE.
