There is no classic crafting system in Diablo 2 Resurrected, similar to Diablo 3. You cannot craft random items and salvage items into parts. There is a crafting system from Diablo 2 involving Horadric Cube's ability to transmute items.
Players can use recipes to craft some rare items. They can come only with certain preset modifications and with random prefixes and suffixes.

- Certain Rune
- Certain Magic Item
- Certain Gem
- Random Jewel
You put the required items together into the Horadic Cube. Then you simply click on the cube and press the Transmute button.
There are four types of crafted items:
- Caster - good for mages
- Blood - great for melee characters
- Hit Power - most usefull on Amazon character
- Safety - defensive buffs, suitable for everyone but not as popular
Considering Diablo 2 Resurrected is a great remaster, true to the original Diablo 2, it's no surprise that a crafting and salvaging system from Diablo 3 did not make it into the game. We have the classic crafting mode that is different but can be useful for specific builds.
