How to get Rice in Dreamlight Valley

Grow and grow.

Disney Dreamlight Valley has a wide variety of crops, herbs, and fruits for you to find and use to make hundreds of recipes. A basic staple that you should always try to keep stocked somewhere in your Valley is Rice. It's a key ingredient for many dishes like the Sushi and Maki entrees. Here's how to get plenty of Rice in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where to grow Rice in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Rice is a crop you'll unlock with the Glade of Trust Biome. The seeds can be purchased there from Goofy's Stall for 35 star coins a piece. You can plant them anywhere, but if you plant Rice seeds inside the Glade of Trust Biome, the crop growth time will reduce by ten percent. Normally, Rice takes 50 minutes to grow, so it would take 45 minutes to grow in the Glade of Trust. Always harvest plants with a Disney friend who boosts gardening, as this will give you a chance to collect extra pieces of Rice for each plant you pick.

Rice is a good item to have on hand as Disney friends will frequently ask for Sushi and Maki dishes as favorite gifts. It can also be used for dishes like Lancetfish Paella or Fish Risotto. Unlike Wheat, it's not an ingredient that is commonly used in furniture crafting recipes. Dreamlight Valley is constantly updating and expanding, so you may see this in the future.
