Difficulty in Dying Light 2 changes several things in the game. It affects enemy health, enemy damage, enemy tactics, player attributes, and more. Easy will provide a more relaxed gameplay experience to focus on the story. Hard will ramp things up tremendously and requires more skill.

As you can swap your difficulty setting at any time, you are free to switch back and forth until you find the one you like. Try them all out by starting at normal and adjusting to easy or hard, depending on how you find the game.
