What is Earth Born in Eastward

Be the hero that Earth needs!

Developer Pixpil heard you liked games, so they put a game in your game. Specifically, in the game Eastward, you can find arcade machines that allow you to play the game, Earth Born. Not only that but there is a TV show and manga that Sam loves!

You might be wondering what Earth Born is. It is an arcade game reminiscent of the old-school Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games that are completely playable in Eastward.

Earth Born puts the player in the role of the Knight, a beginner knight at that. They are tasked with defeating the Demon King and rescuing the Princess, who is trapped in the castle. Along the way, they will recruit allies in their quest who will be instrumental in defeating the Demon King.

While the classic JRPG games highly inspire Earth Born, it has features from modern games as well. There is a fast-travel system through the use of Seagull Statues that make traveling easier. Additionally, there is a semi-amiibo system called Pixballs that can help with your progress.

While playing an arcade game may seem odd with what is going on in Eastward's story, it can be easy to get hooked to Earth Born. Not to mention there are two achievements tied to playing the game!
