Can you fast travel in Elden Ring?

Explore the Lands Between!

You can fast travel in Elden Ring by interacting with Sites of Grace. Once a Site of Grace is discovered, you can fast travel to its location from any Site of Grace. Fast traveling does not cost anything when done from a Site of Grace, which is useful because the map is very large.

As you explore the Lands Between, more Sites of Grace can be discovered, making it easier to travel between areas. When approaching a Site of Grace, press the fast travel button prompt to bring up the map. Sites of Grace will appear on the map as yellow circular points. Select the one you would like to fast travel to.

Some areas, like dungeons, do not allow for normal fast travel. However, you can return to the last Site of Grace visited using a Vision of Grace. Using a Vision of Grace comes at a great cost, as you will lose all your earned Runes. It is best to stick to normal fast travel and prepare for dungeons at Sites of Grace before entering.

Fast travel becomes very useful throughout the game as you explore new areas, meet new NPCs, and fight difficult enemies. Since there is no quest list, players must keep track of key locations and tasks when exploring the many things to do in the Lands Between. Enemies also do not scale to player level, so fast travel can be extremely useful when returning to areas with difficult enemies later on.
