Use any weapon or spell you want in Elden Ring with this new PC mod

We won't tell if you don't...

Elden Ring is a game full of challenges, and it is intended to be experienced as such. Sometimes, though, it asks for quite a lot and if you don't have the time to get your stats sky high, it can take a while to get what you want. Luckily, there are mods on the PC version! This is how to use whatever you want without the grind.

The mod is available on Nexusmods, and was created by xxdarki. It removes the stat limitations for weapons, sorceries and incantations, allowing you to wield or cast them at a much lower level.

We know that to a lot of Elden Ring players this will be sacrilege, but if you are someone with less time for gaming, and you want to go around smiting Tree Sentinels then you might want to give this mod a go. It is safe, but make sure you do as the instructions tell you to avoid your game corrupting.

How to Install the Remove Stat Requirement Mod

You will need a Nexusmod account to be able to download the files required for this mod.

Please note: this can only be used in offline mode with EAC (Anti-Cheats) disabled. Don't try to use it while playing online. To apply the modification to your game, follow the directions below:

  • Go to the Nexusmod page for the remove stats mod (the hyperlink is associated)
  • Create an account, or sign in if you are already registered
  • Go to the Files tab and click Manual Download, or if you use the Mod Manager you can download it through that
  • Backup your most recent save file by making a copy of it with CTRL + C. Then paste it into a new folder of your choice with CTRL+V. This is to prevent progress loss (in the case of something going awry). Make sure to put it in a folder you will remember, possibly on your Desktop
  • Backup your original regulation.bin file by once again copying and pasting it, and then put it into a new folder of your choosing. This will be in the game's Steam folder within your drive's file tree: C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ELDENRING/Game
  • Note: If you have installed your game elsewhere on a separate/external drive, then locate the game where you chose for it to be installed. The Steam file structure will remain the same, but it will be on a drive that's different to your C drive.
  • Place the modified regulation.bin file from your Manual Download folder or Mod Manager in Elden Ring's game folder
  • Disable EAC with this mod
  • Once you are confident the above steps have been met, run Elden Ring and test it

If at any point you wish to uninstall it and go back to the game's original difficulty, just delete the edited regulation.bin file and replace it with the original one.

If you have other mods that you wish to merge with this one, then the directions for CSV files can be found on xxdarki's mod page.
