Where to find the best early weapon in Elden Ring?

Best Weapon to start with.

Elden Ring is an expansive world with enemies to fight, bosses to die to and weapons to use. Picking a weapon is one of the hardest decisions you will make, especially at the beginning of the game when there are weapons everywhere. Here is the best weapon to get at the beginning.

Twinblade

The best weapon you can get at the beginning with minimal effort is the Twinblade. The Twinblade requires 10 Strength and 18 Dexterity to wield. This double-bladed weapon can be found south of Lake Agheel and at the Dragon-Burnt Ruins. You will need to jump over the ruined castle walls with Torrent to access the underground passage. There are two underground passages at the Dragon-Burnt Ruins. If the passage you have entered contains rats then turn back, this is the wrong passage.

This weapon is considered so strong due to its flexible move set that will allow you to strike multiple enemies with both ends of the Twinblade in rapid succession. This weapon can also be two-handed (by holding Triangle, or Y, and pressing RB) for additional moves when fighting large packs. The spinning slash Ash of War is also great for striking multiple enemies around you.

The Twinblade scales with both Strength and Dexterity and will be beneficial for both builds in the early game and through the mid-late game. Be sure to upgrade the Twinblade at the Smithing Table (and later in Roundtable Hold) to keep the weapon viable for longer.
