One of the most significant changes in Farming Simulator 22 is the full integration of dynamic seasons. It was previously only a mod on past versions of the game, but now it is included. Seasons can be disabled, but playing within their more realistic limits is arguably more fun.
Seasons have many limitations, so players have to set what is most comfortable. Generally, the consensus is to keep the season length from 3-5 days, which is still a long way from the game beginning with only one day a season.
A player can set a season to last 28 days or just one day, and neither is recommended. Being bored with waiting for a season to end is one thing, but the stress of rushing through tasks ruins the fun.
It costs money to lease vehicles and use AI, so players will run out of money more often if it takes longer to sell items. Seasonal changes dictate when crops should be planted and harvested. Furthermore, they're sold at their highest price during certain times of the year. This underlines the importance of balancing out the time spent on an in-game month.
You should start at five days if you are brand new and work your way down to three. Due to the long distances involved in reaching each field, you should make the seasons longer after you start getting more farmland.
