Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 unveils Glamoured to Life cosplay competition

Glamour is one of the most intricate parts of Final Fantasy XIV, and now fans and players will get the chance to replicate that in real life thanks to the Glamoured to Life cosplay competition. Announced on the official Final Fantasy XIV Twitter, and set to take place during the Fan Festival 2023 in Las Vegas, Glamoured to Life will see cosplayers showcase their outfits designed after a favorite character, creature, or their own Warrior of Light.

But even if you don’t think your cosplay creation skills are top tier, you should definitely try to come to Fan Fest in costume. That’s because All costumed attendees who check in at the event will also receive an in-game item. We’re imagining the Fan Fest will be absolutely filled with costumed people.

There’s a few entry requirements, which are listed in the official website, and we’ll summarize them here as well:

• Cosplays should be "sensible” and “not expose the body in a way that would be indecent or obscene exposure"
• Shoes are required to be worn at all times, even if the character is depicted as being barefoot
• Costumes and props must not obstruct or impede the flow of show floor traffic or entryways
• No dangerous objects, such as sharpened impliments, metal props, heavy objects, and flammable materials
• Costumes that may obscure the wearers visions should have a designated "Handler" to help them maneuver through crowds
• Due to strict security measures at the event, please be prepared to remove elements of your costume or props for further inspection if requested
• Bags and backpacks are subject to search prior to admission

Fan Fest Art and Video contests

Even if you’re not a cosplayer, you can enter one of the competitions at Fan Fest. Square Enix also announced the Art Contest and Video Contest.

You don’t need to attend the Fan Festival for this contest, so it's the perfect chance to be a part of the fun even if you’re not able to make it to the event. Full details of the competition are available on the official FFXIV Fan Fest website.
