Clear your FFXIV plans for Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, as Final Fantasy XIV is scheduled for four hours of maintenance on July 12 until July 13. Square Enix’s premier MMO is set to undergo some pre-planned downtime this week, as per an announcement on their official Lodestone website.
The maintenance will address some bugs and hotfixes that have arisen around the 6.18 patch. This patch was the one that introduced Data Center travel, and as a result, has led to a few complications. This is also the fix that will restore the Home World Transfer service. This was paused when 6.18 was launched, and will return with this update.
Final Fantasy XIV maintenance PDT and EST time
The maintenance is scheduled for July 13, 2022 at 1am until July 13, 2022 5am CT. It’s four hours of maintenance to deal with fixing bugs on servers, and the timings are subject to change. During the implementation of the 6.18 patch, there were several delays to the end of maintenance, so don’t be surprised if there are more this time.
During the maintenance:
- Data Center Travel will be suspended 30 minutes before maintenance begins, and will be unavailable until maintenance has ended.
- The Home World Transfer Service will be resumed after this maintenance depending on the operation status of the Data Center Travel system.
- Some FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion app features will be unavailable until maintenance has ended.
- Any duty recorder data recorded prior to this maintenance can no longer be replayed after this maintenance.
Obviously, the biggest bit of info is the restoration of the Home World Transfer Service. This means you’ll now be able to transfer worlds and get onto some of the new servers added in the recent server reshuffle. Time to grab some bonus leveling experience from those low-pop servers!
