How to get Mornveil Tree Bark in Final Fantasy XIV

In Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.3, dozens of new materials, components, and gathering nodes were added. One recently added crafting material was Mornveil Tree Bark, an incredibly hard-to-acquire material. Here’s how to get Mornveil Tree Bark in FFXIV,

Where to find Mornveil Tree Bark in FFXIV

Before you even begin to try and gather Mornveil Tree Bark, you must ensure you’ve unlocked the gathering location. To do this, you must buy the Tome of Botanical Folklore–Ilsabard and the Northern Empty from the Splendor’s Vendor at Radz-at-Han (X: 11.4, Y: 9.1).

Also, your character must be a level 90 Botanist, and you will have to raise your character’s Perception to at least 3,625. You do not need 3,800 as this is only required for the node bonus and is not needed to gather Mornveil Tree Bark.

Finally, you’re ready to gather the Mornveil Tree Bark. Head to Labyrinthos, Archeion (X: 28.0, Y: 10.9) between 4:00am and 6:00am or 4:00pm and 6:00pm Eorzea Time. If you’ve previously gathered Bayberry, this is the location you’ll be looking for.

What is Mornveil Tree Bark used for?

Mornveil Tree Bark is used in making Craftsman’s Alkahest, a difficult-to-produce crafting material that is part of the Item Level 620 gear that was added in Patch 6.3. As a result, Mornveil Tree Bark is very highly sought after.
