How to get the Sewer Skink minion in FFXIV

There's a plethora of things to do in Final Fantasy XIV, especially with the latest patch release, 6.25. Along with new variant dungeons and new mounts, you can also get a new minion. Here's how to get the new Sewer Skink minion in FFXIV.

Where to get the Sewer Skink minion in Final Fantasy XIV

To get the Sewer Skink minion in FFXIV, you must play through the variant dungeon Sil'dihn Subterrane and acquire it as a drop from a chest. Or you can purchase it from the Market Board, as the Sewer Skin minion is tradeable. You can also get the Sponge Silkie minion the same way.

There are three types of the Sil'dihn Subterrane dungeon: variant, criterion, and criterion savage. The Sewer Skink only drops in the variant type, so be sure to choose that one if you want this minion added to your collection.

Variant dungeons are newly added in the 6.25 update, so ensure you have met the prerequisites to enter the Sil'dihn Subterrane dungeon. Here's what you need to have completed before accessing the dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV.

• Have purchased and finished the Main Scenario Quest in Endwalker.
• Speak to Osmon and Shallow Moor in Old Sharlayan X: 11.9, Y: 13.3.
• Complete the A Key to the Past quest.

Sure, if you don't want to go through the hassle of repeatedly playing through the variant dungeon for the chance of getting the Sewer Skink minion. You can instead purchase the minion, but all new items on the Market Board are costly. So unless you have the funds, you are willing to part with, gather a party, and get through the dungeon.

What does the Sewer Skink minion do in FFXIV?

The Sewer Skin in FFXIV is an independent type of minion, and here's what it does.

• Flickering Lick
  • It will inflict a weakness critters on all enemies within range for 15 seconds.
