How to unlock the Sage Job in Final Fantasy XIV

Heal with flare.

Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker expansion, the latest installment for the popular MMO, brings with it a variety of changes and additional content for players to enjoy. One of the additions brought with Endwalker includes the new healing class, the Sage. Here's how to unlock this new job.

To unlock the Sage job, players must complete the Sage's Path quest. For more information on this quest and its requirements, look below:

  • Sage's Path
    • Disciple of War or Magic level 70+
    • Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X: 9.4 Y: 12.9)
    • NPC - Sharlayan Maiden

To start the Sage's Path quest, you'll need to be at least level 70 with either a Disciple of War or Magic as specified above. Keep in mind that only those who have purchased the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker expansion can unlock the Sage Job. Those who haven't purchased the latest expansion won't be able to get this class, even if they're level 70 or above.

Once you meet all the requirements mentioned above, head over to the Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks and speak to the Shalayan Maiden at the coordinates listed, the Sharlayan Maiden will give you a new quest. Once it's complete, the Sage job will unlock for your character, starting at level 70.
