Latest trailer shows Crisis Core Remaster is more than it seems

Square Enix has just revealed a new trailer that goes to great lengths to show the world that the Crisis Core Remaster is more than a simple visual remaster. The trailer proves this claim by showcasing many improvements and a completely reimagined combat system that changes everything. Here's a break of what to expect from this Cris Core Remaster trailer.

New Crisis Core Reunion Trailer showcases stunning improvements 15 years after original release.

The new More than a remaster trailer for Crisis Core Reunion provides a genuinely stunning look into the game. The changes showcased in the trailer also arrive nearly 15 years after the game's initial launch on the PSP or PlayStation Portable Console. The trailer also uses this 15-year difference in visual appearance to its advantage.

In short, during the trailer at 0:28, we can see how aged the 15-year-old release of Crisis Core is. Now, compared to the HD graphics displayed throughout the trailer, the change in quality is truly staggering. But visuals aside, the trailer also gives a brief look into the combat system, and it looks modern, providing even more credence to the remaster being more than it seems. Combat-wise, what was shown around 0:32 appears more aline with newer titles in the series and Modern JRPGS in general.

On top of a reworked combat system more in line with Modern JRPGs, players and fans are also treated to new cinematics. At 0:40, we see a glimpse of how stunning the new cinematics for summonable, and they appear larger than life in explosive glory. Crisis Core Reunion's new trailer also showcases a glimpse into the new soundtrack throughout the trailer. Sound-wise, we can safely say it is a thundering score, and we can't wait to hear more in the full release.

When is the Crisis Core Remaster release date?

If you just watched the trailer for Cris Core Remaster and can't wait to play it, you won't have to wait long, as the game launches on December 13, 2022, for the following platforms:
