How to get gifts in Fire Emblem Engage?

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

At the very beginning of the Fire Emblem Engage story campaign, you will be able to find the Spirit Gem, Pretty Pebble, and Horse manure gift items as random drops on the ground. When walking around Somniel or levels you have beat, you will see yellow glowing dots on your radar. Simply walk over the objects and pick them up for a chance to score one of the three gifts. However, unlike Fire Emblem Three Houses, you will need to wait quite a bit in the story before you can unlock gifts that are specific to each character. The main method you will use to obtain gifts is purchasing them with gold through the Flea Market shop.

When can you buy gifts in Fire Emblem Engage?

The Flea Market vendor is unlocked after completing Chapter 13: Heroes of the Oasis, so you will need to progress halfway into the story before you can start purchasing gifts. Once you have completed the main story mission, head back to the Somniel Hub to access the new shop automatically. The quickest way to reach the makeshift store is to warp to the Poolside fast travel point on the Somniel map. Unlike the other vendors in the game, the Flea Market's inventory is rotated in and out. So if you don't see the gift you want, you will need to complete a battle and return to update which presents are up for sale. A quick way to refresh the store's stock is to complete Skirmishes or Paralogues on the world map.
