Alear is the protagonist in Fire Emblem Engage and can be male or female, depending on the player. They are a mysterious warrior who has awoken after 1,000 years to turmoil in the land. Alear is a Divine Dragon descended from a royale bloodline of dragons revered as deities. They wield the sword Libération to defeat their foes.
The hero of Fire Emblem Engage appears young and sports a red and blue hairstyle, complete with one red eye and one blue eye. They wear white clothes accented with blues, reds, and gold. Alear can equip a variety of rings that allow them to summon heroes of old, including Marth, Sigurd, Celica, and more.
