In Forager, there are many Galaxy Puzzles you have to solve to progress through the game. In this guide, we will explain how to solve the Ancient Galaxy Puzzle. Dress in shorts; we’re going to the desert!
Ancient Galaxy Puzzle Solution
This puzzle consists of 25 Pillars aligned in a square and provides you four Batteries to power specific Pillars. There are two challenges to this puzzle: Figuring out which Pillars to power up and figuring out how to power them up with only four batteries.
There is a simple solution to figuring out which Pillars to power. If you looked closely at the tower on the outside, you will notice a pattern at the top of it. None of the other Galaxy Puzzles have a similar pattern, so from there we can deduce that this pattern applies to the puzzle.
If you haven’t just realized the answer, the pattern on the outside of the tower shows you which puzzles need to be powered. Contrary to what your intuition might suggest, though, the Pillars that need power are in the empty positions on the pattern.
To make the batteries light up more than one Pillar at once, you need to hit/drag them to be between the two you wish to power. This means that with only seven Pillars that need to be powered, you can complete this tax with a minimum of three Batteries.
One helpful tip: If you don’t want to make the Batteries move a long distance, move close to them and drag them. It will nudge the Battery in your direction.
The image and text below shows you what Pillars need to be activated and how we positioned our Batteries to activate them. It doesn’t need to be exact, but the Pillars shown in the pattern must be powered up to complete this puzzle.
- Pillars to Activate in Row #1: 1, 2
- Pillars to Activate in Row #2: 2, 3
- Pillars to Activate in Row #3: 3
- Pillars to Activate in Row #4: 2, 3
When you solve the Ancient Galaxy Puzzle, you are awarded five chests. The largest chest must be unlocked with a Key. Upon opening it, you are given the Ancient Galaxy Seal, Ancient Astronomer Feat, and a Spirit Orb.
