Fortnite Shopping Cart Guide – Locations and How-to Use!

Our Fortnite Shopping Cart guide features information on all of the locations where to find them, as well as how-to use this first "vehicle" that was added to Fortnite. This guide is updated with new locations for Season 7 of the Battle Pass!

We are finally and technically getting a "vehicle" in Fortnite in the shape of a Shopping Cart?! This should be a very interesting addition to the game, and it remains to be seen what kind of impact it will have!

Shopping Cart Release Date

The shopping cart was added into the game on May 30th, 2018! This was originally scheduled for the 29th, but was delayed.

Shopping Cart Quick Information

Here's some quick information

• You can push it around and jump in it. You can also push a friend
• Can shoot from passenger seat.
• Found scattered around the world in various locations.
• Fall damage enabled.

Where to Find Shopping Carts

Shopping carts can be found all over the map. The map below illustrates a lot of them, credit to Fortnite Chests.

Some areas that are seemingly obvious are Retail Row in the parking lot in front of NOMS Grocery Store. This whole parking lot area might have shopping cart spawns, so that'll be one of the first places to head when looking for these. You can actually find quite a few in the snow areas and in Lucky Landing.

How-to Use Shopping Carts

Use your use key and you can either get into the shopping cart or push it from behind. If you are in a duo or squad, you can be pushed or you can push your friend one of these! If you are trying to make some quick time, you can roll them down a hill or potentially a ramp and gain a bunch of speed, but these look a bit easy to tip over.

To push the cart you will need to tap your jump key, and to coast you hold your jump key. Coasting is basically just standing on the cart from behind and letting the momentum take you.

You can also switch into the passenger seat from the push position by pressing C on PC (the key instructions should be located on the left of the screen in-game once you are using a cart). From the passenger seat, you can also switch back to pushing with the same key.

If you are in the passenger spot, you can fire your weapon at people! You can still scope and aim down the sights, so you aren't at too big of a disadvantage and I'm guessing there are going to be some crazy clips of people getting kills while flying down a ramp in a cart! You can also BUILD while in a shopping cart, so ramping up won't be a problem while being pushed.
