Fortnite Save The World 28.30

HERO BALANCE CHANGES

  • CLOAKED SHADOW
    • Increased Corrupted Aura’s base damage.
  • STAREDOWN SOUTHIE
    • Reduced the time between shots for Bear Stare.
  • FIREFLOWER EAGLE EYE
    • Increased the base damage of the fireworks for Parting Gift.
  • TRICERA OPS RAMIREZ
    • Saurian Vigor has a shorter time between heals.
  • BLACK KNIGHT GARRIDAN
    • Knight’s Impact now also reduces the cooldown of Goin’ Constructor for each elimination with hardware.
  • RED WILLOW
    • Increased the base damage of Holiday Surprise.
  • SENTINEL HYPE
    • Going And Going increases D.E.C.O.Y.'s duration even longer.
  • WARDEN KYLE
    • B.A.S.E. M.D. provides increased base Health regen.
    • B.A.S.E. M.D. now also provides Energy regen.
    • A heal-over-time effect now persists for a few seconds after stepping away from the B.A.S.E. structure.
  • VENTURION
    • Blast Kick now deals increased base damage, and its damage type is now Energy.
    • The Standard version of the Blast Kick Perk now also fires all five projectiles.
  • PRICKLY PATROLLER RAMIREZ
    • Increased the overall damage of Prickly.
    • The Standard version of Prickly now also gives enemies Affliction damage over time, similar to the Commander version of the Perk.
  • BLAKEBEARD
    • Reduced the number of Cannonball Grenades and Coconuts that drop from Blakebeard’s Stash at a time, and limited how many can be held at once.
      • Chests now despawn after one minute.
    • Moment-to-moment gameplay with Blakebeard’s Stash should feel largely the same: a grab bag of fun items falling out of enemies to keep your damage and Health high, while not reducing the challenge of missions at lower difficulties.
      • As part of this change, we added an option for players to refund their resources invested into their current Blakebeard if they wish.
    • Peg Legs break faster, more closely match the Power Level of the current mission, and only six can be held at a time.
      • If you open a Chest while already holding six, a bonus Cannonball Grenade and Coconut drop instead.

IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES

  • We’ve separated the Filter and Sort selections for Perk Loadouts. You can choose between the current Auto sort, or sort alphabetically.
  • The Contender now properly stuns enemies, and the stun has been increased to persist for a short time after enemies have been knocked back.
  • The Primal Shotgun’s Frenzy Perk for eliminating a Mist Monster now persists after switching weapons.
  • Bull Rush now more consistently grabs Husks that are very close to you.
  • Fixed an issue where the Headshot Explosion Perk was not working as intended for some weapons.
  • The Structure Healing Perk now works correctly for Traps.
  • Downed Chrome Husks no longer attach themselves to a player when heavy-attacking them with Sir Lancelot.

  • Slurp Jelly Fish
  • Molten Spicy Fish

Different fish can be found based on the biome and water you’re fishing in, and also the weather and time of day! Tackle the fishing pastime by catching the Legendary version of each fish.

Be sure to hold onto those Legendary fish! There will be a way to display them in a future update.

MAKE A DELICIOUS DISH: INTRODUCING THE FOOD PROCESSOR!

Want some brick fish for breakfast? With the new Food Processor Station, you can turn the fish you catch into Fish Filets! (Unlock the Food Processor recipe by crafting or using a Lumber Mill.)

Fish Filets aren’t the only seafood you can eat. With a Grill, you can also make dishes like Smoked Fry Fish and Black and Blue Shieldfish Sushi!

CREATING A FISHING SPOT WITH A BAIT BUCKET

All you need to fish is a Fishing Rod and water. But fish are a slippery bunch, so don’t just cast your line and expect fish to flock. Throw bait into water to create a Fishing Spot!

Get bait from a Bait Bucket, which has four rarities you can craft. The rarer the bucket, the more likely you are to attract a fish:

  • Common Bait Bucket (craftable at a Food Processor)
    • Unlock the recipe for the Common Bait Bucket by adding a Fish Filet to your inventory and having a Food Processor in the world.
  • Uncommon Bait Bucket (craftable at a Juicer)
    • Unlock the recipe for the Uncommon Bait Bucket by adding a Common Bait Bucket to your inventory and having a Juicer in the world.
  • Rare Bait Bucket (craftable at a Juicer)
    • Unlock the recipe for the Rare Bait Bucket by adding a Common Bait Bucket to your inventory and having a Juicer in the world.
  • Epic Bait Bucket (craftable at a Juicer)
    • Unlock the recipe for the Epic Bait Bucket by adding a Common Bait Bucket to your inventory and having a Juicer in the world.

Become as much of a fishing legend as the expert Turk! (This angler may appear as a potential Villager to join your adventure.)

MORE UPDATES!

ZOOM IN WITH THE SPYGLASS

Make it easier to see what’s far away! The Spyglass is a telescopic tool that magnifies distant views. Unlock the recipe for a Spyglass by adding Glass to your inventory and having a Crafting Bench in your world. Then, you guessed it, craft one at a Crafting Bench!

LET THE COMPASS GUIDE YOU!

It’s easy to forget which way you’re going in unless you open your map. But if you craft a Compass, you won’t need your map for that! The Compass adds basic navigation to the HUD, telling you which direction you’re facing. Unlock the recipe for a Compass by adding Glass to your inventory and having a Crafting Bench in your world. Then — you know where this is going — craft one at a Crafting Bench. Want to add navigation AND map markers to your HUD? Then craft the Advanced Compass, whose recipe is unlocked the same way as the regular Compass.

NEW VILLAGER OPTIONS

Turk isn’t the only one who can appear as a potential new Villager. Fellow fishers Outcast and Bob can too!

NEW CHARMS, HOW CHARMING!

There are new charms to discover and craft along your adventure!
The Reflection Charm deals some of the damage you take back at your attacker when you get hurt. While the Wavebreak Charm increases your swimming speed, making you faster the more Wavebreak Charms you have equipped. Different fish are required to craft both charms, so pick up that Fishing Rod and reel ‘em in!

MORE OUTFITS GET A LEGO STYLE!

With v28.30, more Outfits in Fortnite have received a LEGO Style! If you already own these Outfits, their LEGO Styles are currently in your Locker:

  • Airie
  • Flakes Power
  • Iron Man Zero
  • Lazarbeam
  • Loserfruit
  • Maxxed Out Max
  • Ninja

CHOOSE BETWEEN DIFFERENT LEGO STYLES

For Outfits that have received more than one LEGO Style, you now have the option to choose between the Styles!

  • Villagers accompanying you into caves now aren’t worried that it’s raining outside.

Fortnite: Rocket Racing 28.30

CATCH UP ON SPEED RUN

Ready to prove you’re one of the fastest Rocket Racing drivers? Then get ready because in Speed Run you’ll be up against the toughest opponent of all: the clock.

Try to set the best possible lap time on variants of some of your favorite tracks like Riviera, Anaconda, and Olympus. Each match has a countdown timer of several minutes, giving you plenty of time to complete multiple laps (“runs”) and create your perfect route to the finish line!

While zooming along in Speed Run, don’t be scared when you spot your ghost. This not-so-spooky apparition is there to show you exactly how you drove on your best run of the match — correct its mistakes to shave precious seconds off your lap time.

You can play Speed Run in either public or private matches. If playing with others, don’t worry about crashing into them. Player collisions are turned off in Speed Run so you can focus on your lap times. On the flip side, you can’t catch players’ slipstreams by drafting. Starting line boosts are disabled in this mode as well.

Your fastest run time on a track will be uploaded to that track’s Season leaderboard so you see how your skills rack up against drivers worldwide. There’s also a friends leaderboard where you can compare your times with your Epic friends for bragging rights! Don’t rest on your laurels, though, as the leaderboards will refresh each Season.

To access this new mode, simply choose a track in Rocket Racing’s Speed Run row or select the Speed Run playlist with rotating tracks.

ELECTRIFYING QUESTS!

All good quests start with a spark! Complete runs in Speed Run to progress in the Speed Run Kickoff Quests. By completing the first Quest, you’ll unlock the new Sprintspark Trail! Complete the rest of the Quests to unlock 13 paint colors for Sprintspark.

The Speed Run Kickoff Quests will be available until March 26, 2024, at 12 AM ET.

MORE IMPROVEMENTS ON MOBILE

v28.30 features further enhancements to playing Rocket Racing on mobile:

  • The touchscreen D-pad has been updated to a touchscreen joystick, allowing for better precision when driving. You can adjust the sensitivity of the joystick in the settings.
  • We’ve updated the visuals of the mobile HUD.

DIESTRO COMES TO THE FORTNITE ECOSYSTEM

It might look retro, but the Diestro Car Body is all modern power! Take it for a spin in Rocket Racing and other experiences across Fortnite. This Rocket League-original is available in the Shop as part of the Diestro Car Bundle:

  • Diestro Car Body (has 13 paint colors)
  • Chitchat Decal
  • Lozano Decal
  • Old Flame Decal
  • Sooo Fly Decal
  • Stripes Decal
  • Stuntman Decal

The Decals in the Diestro Car Bundle can only be equipped with the Diestro Car Body. If you already have Diestro and the Decals in Rocket League, you’ll find them waiting in your Fortnite Locker thanks to cross-game ownership! If you purchase the Diestro Car Bundle in Fortnite, you’ll have the contents in Rocket League.

LOOK FLASH WITH XENOSPLASH!

So concentrated on the road you're in another world? The Xenosplash Boost comes to the Fortnite ecosystem via the Xenosplash Boost Bundle! This Bundle in the Shop includes the Boost plus 13 different paint colors 🎨

If you’re feeling illustrious, consider pairing this Boost with the Lustrum X10 Wheels also making their Fortnite debut. These Wheels are available in the Shop via the Lustrum X10 Wheels Bundle, which includes the Wheels and 12 different paint colors!

Like Diestro, the Xenosplash Boost and Lustrum X10 Wheels are eligible for cross-game ownership.

MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES

  • You can now perform an Air Roll! Just hold the left trigger button while midair (or the spacebar on PC) and steer to spin through the air. You can also pair your rolls with your thrusters to fly across the track. We’re looking for feedback on this new advanced mechanic, so let us know what you think.
  • Various Quests have been adjusted so that they can be progressed by playing Speed Run, Racing, or both! Quest descriptions have also been updated to reflect this.
  • Further improvements to collisions while grounded have been made when hitting the environment to prevent getting stuck. We will continue to make improvements as needed.
  • Improved checkpoint crossing times, and exposed one more millisecond digit to the scoreboard for more accurate time tracking.
  • Increased the minimum speed to demolish in the air when hitting the front of the car, to match the speed required to demolish when grounded (400 KPH).
  • Achieving a new drift boost while one is already active will now always give you the full impulse for a short duration instead of only making up the difference. This was partially the case in v28.20, but drift boosts that were smaller than the one you had were only 50% as effective.
  • While you’re drifting, your wheels should now visually steer more sharply.
  • You can no longer get bonus speed from a speed pad if your car already has an active stack of bonus speed from that same speed pad. You can still stack bonus speed from multiple different speed pads.
  • Fixed an issue causing cars to sometimes launch backwards when landing an aerial drift after performing a lateral air dodge.
