How to Craft a Mechanical Bow, Mechanical Explosive Bow, and Mechanical Shockwave Bow in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Week 2 Epic Quests

Week 2 of Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 6 brings us an Epic Quest that forces us to craft some of the new bows! This week, they’re focusing on the various Mechanical crafting paths. In this guide, we will cover all three crafting options to help you complete the Epic Quest!

How to Craft a Mechanical Bow, Mechanical Explosive Bow, and Mechanical Shockwave Bow

We’re going to cover these in order of how they appear on the quest. In order to complete this task, you’re going to need to find the items listed below in one of your matches.

• 2 x Makeshift Bow
• 8 x Mechanical Parts
• 6 x Grenades (for the Explosive Mechanical Bow)
• 2 x Shockwave Grenades (for the Shockwave Mechanical Bow)

Mechanical Bow

When crafting Bows, they all seem to follow one set path for rarity. Makeshift Bows are always Uncommon rarity, Mechanical Bows are always Rare rarity, and their upgraded versions are always Epic rarity. To craft one, you’ll need to start with a Makeshift Bow.

1. You’ll also need four Mechanical Parts. Mechanical Parts are crafting ingredients that can be harvested from things like Vehicles, Forklifts, and Tractors. Once you have collected a Makeshift Bow and four Mechanical Parts, you’ll be ready to craft a Mechanical Bow.
2. Enter your in-game Inventory menu. From there, make sure you have the Makeshift Bow selected in your inventory. In the image above, you’ll see what you can craft with the materials you’ve collected. Here, we’ve selected the Makeshift Bow, and chosen to upgrade it to a Mechanical Bow.
3. Select Craft. When you do this, you will automatically exit the Inventory menu and your character will take a few seconds to complete the action.

Mechanical Explosive Bow

For this bow, you need to have a Mechanical Bow, which can be crafted via the instructions above. You’ll also need six Grenades in your inventory. When you have these, follow the steps listed below.

1. Enter your in-game Inventory menu. From there, make sure you have the Mechanical Bow selected in your inventory. Note: You cannot currently change a Mechanical Shockwave Bow into a Mechanical Explosive Bow.
2. Select Craft. When you do this, you will automatically exit the Inventory menu and your character will take a few seconds to complete the action.

The Mechanical Explosive Bow shoots an arrow that shoots out three projectiles when it lands. These projectiles then explode and cause an additional 20 damage each (if they hit their target).

Mechanical Shockwave Bow

For this bow, you need to have a Mechanical Bow, which can be crafted via the instructions above. You’ll also need two Shockwave Grenades in your inventory. When you have these, follow the steps listed below.

1. Enter your in-game Inventory menu. From there, make sure you have the Mechanical Bow selected in your inventory. Note: You cannot currently change a Mechanical Explosive Bow into a Mechanical Shockwave Bow.
2. Select Craft. When you do this, you will automatically exit the Inventory menu and your character will take a few seconds to complete the action.

The Mechanical Shockwave Bow shoots an arrow that emits a Shockwave effect shortly after it lands. This can knock opponents (or yourself) to different areas!

Once you’ve done all these, you’ll see the Quest marked off in your quest log and net a decent 24,000 XP!
