Where to find Crash Pads in Fortnite and how to use them

Bounce up and away with Crash Pads!

Crash Pads are now available in Fortnite, and these allow players to rotate quickly by launching them in the air. While there are countless mobility options in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, the addition of Crash Pads in the loot pool makes it easier for players to run in and out of engagements. Here's how players can find and use Crash Pads in Fortnite.

How to use Crash Pads in Fortnite

Crash Pads are rare utility items and players will find them as ground loot, in chests, and supply drops in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. There is no specific location for this item, and you will come across Crash Pads at every major POI. To use a Crash Pad, simply aim at the ground where you want to jump from, and click on the fire button with the item equipped. Opponents can use your Crash Pads as well, and it's ideal to deploy them from cover. Jump on top of these Crash Pads to gain a height advantage while fighting opponents.

Unlike Shockwave Grenades, Crash Pads can be deflated by simply firing at them. Players can use this mobility item to quickly take a height advantage, and also deploy them right before incurring fall damage. This season, the best mobility options in the loot pool include Shockwave Grenades and Grapple Gloves. However, the addition of Crash Pads will encourage players to come up with creative mid-air plays. Remember to keep an eye out for these while scouting the map, as you can easily shoot at an opponent's Crash Pad and give them a taste of fall damage.
