All Sherwood Forest chest locations in Gangs of Sherwood

A forest full of treasures!

The best way to find worthwhile loot like Artifacts and gold is from chests. Sherwood Forest has plenty of chests to find, you'll just need to keep your eyes peeled.

The Merry Men are all about helping the common folk, giving back where they can, and freeing villagers from cages, but that doesn't mean they can't collect a little loot for themselves as well. Here's where to look!

Where to find all Sherwood Forest chests in Gangs of Sherwood

Each mission will have chests hidden around the area. Some chests, however, can only be reached by certain characters, depending on their defining attributes. Maid Marian and Robin are the only two that can fit between tight gaps or shoot down obstacles blocking grappling points. At the same time, Friar Tuck and Little John are the only two strong enough to lift heavy obstacles or break through barriers. You may have to switch up characters to reach them all.

The first chest can be found by jumping across the gap of a fallen bridge, just before entering the area with the waterwheel, where you'll be confronted by several enemies.

You can find this chest hidden behind a barred opening, just after leaving the battlefield with the waterwheel and proceeding toward Major Oak. You'll need to be Little John or Friar Tuck to break through.

As you're heading to Major Oak, make a detour to the right toward the stream and follow it slightly down until you see the chest resting at the water's edge.

As you continue down the path toward the secret cave, you'll find the next chest within a tight gap on the right side. You must be Maid Marian or Robin to fit through and then grapple unto the platforms raised in the trees. Jump across the second platform, and you can claim your loot.

Drop down from the platforms after getting the last chest and continue along the path forward until you spot a red flag. From the red flag, veer off to the left where you'll see a hurdle to jump over, concealing your next chest.

The next chest is yet another spot that can only be reached by Maid Marian or Robin. You will come across this gap when you first enter the secret cave, toward the left wall.

As you progress through the secret cave, you'll come to a large waterfall area. Directly ahead of you, you should spot the chest on the raised cliff just slightly to the left. To get to it, you'll need to use Friar Tuck or Little John to clear the fallen log in the way and circle around until you reach the chest.

You can find the next chest just after exiting the secret cave and finish the battle in the meadow. Just before the checkpoint, take the branching path to the left and jump over the hurdle to get your loot.

The last chest is one that I easily missed my first time through, and this is because it is well tucked away out of sight. You can get to it once you reach the ruins area and jump across the gap of the fallen bridge from one ruin to the next. It is hidden behind some wooden crates that you'll need to break through, but a good indicator is the Wanted poster just off to the left of it.

These are all the chests we came across in Sherwood Forest. You won't want to miss out of looting all the ones that you can since they give you essential currency to purchase Techniques, Shards, and gear for your characters that will help them progress. If you miss some, don't worry; you can head back through again and try again.
