All Spirit Carp locations in Genshin Impact (Map)

Spirit Carps are unique tokens that take a similar form to Oculi, but they can only be farmed in Chenyu Vale. They can be offered for rewards in one of Genshin Impact's tree offering systems, the Votive Rainjade.

While you can farm for Spirit Carps as soon as you enter the region, you can only use them after unlocking the Votive Rainjade. Here's everything you need to know about Chenyu Vale's tree offering system, where to find Spirit Carps, and how to use them.

How to unlock the Chenyu Vale tree offering system in Genshin Impact – Votive Rainjade

Tree offering systems, such as the Frostbearing Tree, Sacred Sakura, Tree of Dreams (lovingly dubbed as the onion), and Fontaine of Lucine, are region-specific reward systems where you can offer tokens for tiered rewards.

In Chenyu Vale, the tree offering system is called the Votive Rainjade. To unlock it, you must first complete the entire Chenyu's Blessings of Sunken Jade quest chain:

• Qiaoying of the Sacred Mountain
• Floating Jade, Treasure of Chenyu
• An Ancient Sacrifice of Sacred Brocade

After completing all three World Quests, change the in-game time to one or more days later. Doing so will automatically trigger a new World Quest called The Cloud-Padded Path to the Chiwang Repose. Complete it to unlock the Votive Rainjade in Chiwang Terrace.

Where to farm Spirit Carp in Genshin Impact

Reference the image above to find all 50 Spirit Carps floating around Chenyu Vale. They can only be found within this part of Liyue and will not appear anywhere else. Since Spirit Carps are similar to Oculi, they will sometimes appear in high places or are slightly hidden by obstacles, so keep your eyes peeled.

After collecting 40 Spirit Carps, you can reveal the locations of the remaining ones via a button on the bottom left of the Votive Rainjade.

Spirit Carps appear as blue sparkles in the overworld, and you simply have to approach them to collect them. They can be difficult to spot in certain lighting conditions, and I personally find them easiest to farm at night.

How to use Spirit Carp in Genshin Impact

Upon unlocking the Voltive Rainjade, a special Teleport Waypoint will appear in the Carp's Rest in Chiwang Terrace. Simply interact with the Rainjade Oblation and get rewards for every five Spirit Carps you collect. The Voltive Rainjade will level up every time you collect rewards, with a current maximum level of 10.
